Aims of the Association

The general aim purpose of the Association shall be the promotion and encouragement through international co-operation of Scandinavian Studies, especially the scolarly study of the literatures of the Scandinavian countries.

In particular, the Association shall promote at regular intervals an International Conferance devoted to Scandinavian Studies. As far as practicable, such Conference shall be held alternatively in a Scandinavian Country and in a non-Scandinavian country.
